Grandma jumps to the ground from her high rise apartment with the babyshe looks after
As news reported, some grandma committed suicide along with her 3-month old baby girl by jumping out of the window of her apartment. Miraculously, the baby girl survived the jump while the grandma died.
"She was frustrated with the baby's loose bowel problem and felt sorry for her son and daughter in law whom she babysat the infant for. However, the news also reported, she had been suffering from depression for quite some time, and it was probably the other reason for her jumping from her apartment in this way.
In this news story, there is another sad thing is that when the grandmom first tried to open the window installed with anti-thief iron bar, her husband and son had spotted her, and rushed to grab her at the feet. Unfortunately, she, with the baby girl in her arms, was just to heavy to be held back, and her husband and son lost her after grabbing her, with the rest of her body already in the air, for a couple of minutes. They, eventually, watched her falling plump to the ground from a sixth-floor apartment dying on the surface of paved roadway.
Taking care of babies is not an easy thing. No wonder for those licenced baby caregivers, they usually charge 25,000 NT dollars a month, excluding consumables. I believe, they literally deserve what they ask for.
Nevertheless, though the above story sounds so miserable, I still have a doubt in mind -- why the grandmom carried the baby with her when she committed suicide. If she really felt so sorry for her failure of taking good care of the baby, she should have jumped alone, rather than compelled an innocent young life to die with her.
